About The Role
Raytheon is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join the Advanced Effector Guidance Systems team in Tucson, AZ. This onsite position offers an exciting opportunity to work on the development of wireless communication and data link systems for tactical missile programs. As part of this team, you will be involved in designing, testing, and integrating high-performance RF data link systems that support space-based and terrestrial applications. Your role will encompass performing trade studies, developing hardware and algorithms, and validating system performance through simulations and field testing. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with at least two years of relevant experience. Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, SIMULINK, C/C , or equivalent is required. Candidates should have experience in communication theory, digital signal processing, probability theory, stochastic signal processing, RF, and electromagnetic theory. A strong foundation in system engineering of RF subsystems and familiarity with waveform simulations, modulation schemes, and RF impairments is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates must be U.S. citizens with an active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance, specifically a DoD Secret clearance, and be able to obtain an interim clearance prior to starting employment.

- Perform and evaluate concept and performance trade studies, link budget analyses, and demonstrate capabilities for data link communication applications.
- Conduct hardware and software communication architecture trade studies to optimize system performance.
- Develop, prototype, and test data link models and communication signal processing algorithms in high-fidelity simulations, supporting hardware implementation.
- Verify and validate communication and signal processing algorithms through laboratory and field testing environments.
- Participate in project design reviews, peer reviews, and briefings to internal leadership and external customers across all phases of development.
- Provide engineering support for system integration, troubleshooting, and performance enhancement efforts.
