Overview
We are seeking a highly capable Vice President of Finance /Controller to own financial reporting and cash flow management across a rapidly scaling, multi-entity professional services platform.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for professionalizing the financial backbone of the business and driving measurable synergies across operating companies.
Position Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Close
- Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting across the holding company and operating subsidiaries
- Drive a disciplined, predictable monthly close
- Ensure consistent accrual accounting, revenue recognition, and intercompany eliminations
- Standardize charts of accounts and reporting structures across all firms
- Produce high-quality, investor-ready financial reporting packages
Cash Flow & Financial Management
- Own short-term and medium-term cash forecasting, including rolling cash flow models
- Manage timing between accrual revenue, cash collections, partner compensation, management fees, and distributions
- Provide leadership with clear visibility into liquidity, profitability, and trends
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities related to cash flow and capital allocation
Investor Communications & Reporting
- Support investor reporting, data requests, and ongoing communications
- Prepare forecasts, variance analyses, and performance updates for investors
- Support diligence and reporting related to growth initiatives
Synergy Realization & Value Creation
- Partner with leadership to identify, quantify, and track platform synergies
- Support integration of acquired firms from a financial and operational perspective
- Develop frameworks to measure synergy realization, margin expansion, and operational leverage
- Translate integration initiatives into measurable financial outcomes
Technology, Systems & Data
- Work closely with the Chief Digital Officer to implement and optimize financial systems
- Help design and deploy a scalable financial systems architecture across the platform
- Leverage technology to improve reporting speed, accuracy, and cash visibility
- Partner with subsidiary leadership to drive adoption of standardized tools and processes
- Support automation, data integrity, and system integration initiatives
Forecasting, Budgeting & Strategic Support
- Own annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and scenario analysis
- Build and maintain models supporting acquisitions, integrations, and growth initiatives
- Provide insights into unit economics, margins, and performance trends
- Support strategic decision-making and long-term value creation initiatives

- Financial reporting is timely, accurate, and trusted by leadership and investors
- Leadership has clear visibility into cash flow, profitability, and performance
- Synergies across the platform are identified, tracked, and realized
- Financial systems and processes scale effectively as the platform grows
- The finance function is viewed as a strategic value driver, not a reporting bottleneck
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience in an investor-backed, roll-up environment with significant M&A activity is critical for this role
- 10 years of progressive finance or accounting experience
- Strong grounding in accrual accounting and cash flow management
- Prior experience as a Controller, VP of Finance, or similar role
- High comfort level operating in fast-moving, evolving environments
- Strong systems and technology orientation
- CPA preferred but not required
