Summary Description
The Quality Technician I supports the Quality department by ensuring products meet customer specifications and internal standards. This role is responsible for auditing processes, reviewing product quality, supporting corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Complete all customer Certificates of Analysis (COAs), including required off-line testing
- Lead daily audits throughout the production process
- Perform layered audits as assigned by the management team
- Review and approve AQL samples for product release
- Approve customer LSDs as required
- Lead internal sorting activities when needed
- Collect and analyze internal reject data for trending and improvement opportunities
- Support customer complaint investigations and root cause corrective actions
- Train plant personnel on quality systems and standards
- Participate as an active member of the Quality Pillar team
- Participate as an active member of the Safety team
- Perform other duties as assigned
- You are proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English (bilingual is a plus)
- You are flexible and willing to support off-shift quality needs when required
- You have strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- You have basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
- You have a foundational understanding of math and basic statistics
- You have strong attention to detail and take pride in accuracy
