Summary Description
While reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Production Associate (Inspector/Packer) is responsible for packing thermoformed trays quickly, safely, and accurately while supporting production flow and quality standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Retrieve parts from trim press
- Place parts in specified relationship to each other
- Inspect stacks of parts for defects
- Place parts in bags, seal bags, and place them into corrugated boxes
- Tend machines such as trim press and pack station parts-handling equipment
- Cut and stack sheet when needed
- Grind sheet and trays as needed
- Build and/or stage all packaging material per product specification
- Fill out labels and flow bills correctly
- Use pallet jacks to place skids of product in the warehouse
- Assist the Operator when starting the line
- Help train new employees when necessary
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Follow housekeeping standards
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as requested by the Supervisor
- Work overtime as required
- You are mission-driven and quality focused
- Previous packing or warehouse experience is helpful
- You have a strong “get it done” attitude and urgency in completing tasks
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills
- You can work independently while managing multiple tasks
- You are reliable, proactive, and committed
- You can lift up to 50 pounds as needed
- You work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- You can read and understand manufacturing instructions
- You can perform repetitive duties, including stairs and standing for long periods
- You can work quickly while maintaining craftsmanship and attention to detail
- No prior manufacturing experience is required
