The Indirect Buyer is responsible for executing sourcing and procurement activities for indirect materials and services that support operational efficiency, cost optimization, and continuous improvement. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to improve service levels, reduce total cost of ownership, and drive measurable performance improvements across assigned categories.
(Position is onsite in Daytona Beach, FL)

Work is performed in a typical office environment and may require standing, bending, lifting boxes or packages under 10 lbs., and sitting for long periods of time.
Work requires regularly inputting/retrieving words or data into or from an automated/computer system.
Compensation Range
$50,000.00 - $100,000.00
The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

The Indirect Buyer is responsible for executing sourcing and procurement activities for indirect materials and services that support operational efficiency, cost optimization, and continuous improvement. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to improve service levels, reduce total cost of ownership, and drive measurable performance improvements across assigned categories.

Essential Functions
- Develop and execute category strategies for assigned indirect spend that deliver cost savings, service improvements, and risk mitigation.
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and sourcing requirements.
- Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting activities, including scope of work, pricing, service levels, and terms and conditions.
- Assess and optimize the supply base to reduce complexity, leverage scale, improve quality, and drive cost efficiency.
- Develop and manage sourcing pipelines and annual operating plans that align with business objectives for assigned categories.
- Monitor supplier performance against defined metrics and support corrective action plans as needed.
- Support operations with supply, service, and issue resolution activities, including process improvement initiatives.
- Provide timely communication, reporting, and data related to supplier performance, sourcing activities, and key risks or issues.
- Ensure sourcing and procurement activities align with company policies and compliance requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum Degree: Bachelor’s Degree required
- Course of Study: Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or indirect category sourcing
- Experience negotiating and implementing contracts for indirect goods and services
- Experience analyzing spend data and developing total cost of ownership (TCO) models
- Exposure to indirect categories such as services, MRO, facilities, utilities and fleet preferred
- Six Sigma or Lean experience preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and procurement tools
- Solid business and financial acumen
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and work effectively in a cross-functional environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
