Hudson Deep Draw in Ormond Beach, Florida is hiring a 2nd shift Electromechanical Technician with hours of 3:30pm to 2:00am Monday - Thursday. The Electromechanical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying electrical and mechanical equipment used in a manufacturing environment. This role supports production by ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and OSHA safety standards. The technician will work with electrical systems, mechanical components, automated equipment, and PLC-controlled machinery.
Requirements:- Install, assemble, and set up production and plant equipment
- Build and configure machinery involving both electrical wiring and mechanical components
- Inspect equipment and systems regularly to identify and prevent potential failures
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain motors, conveyors, control panels, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues using tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic software
- Analyze circuits, wiring diagrams, schematics, drawings, and programs needed to install, repair, calibrate, and service electrical and electronic equipment
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other technical documents
- Test machinery and systems after installation or repair to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Support automated manufacturing equipment, including PLC-controlled systems
- Perform work requiring knowledge of electrical theory, electrical codes, and the operating principles of industrial equipment
- Troubleshoot equipment failures independently or as part of a team
- Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of business objectives
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, motors, and controls
- Understanding of mechanical systems, including gears, pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with PLCs and automated systems
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools effectively
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a manufacturing environment
Education and Experience- Associate degree or technical certificate in Electromechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred
- Experience with industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred
- OSHA safety certification, PLC training, or other related certifications are a plus
