Position Summary
The Luxury Residential AV Design Engineer is responsible for the design and engineering of high-end residential audio-visual, lighting, shading, control, and networking systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and engineer luxury residential AV and smart home systems
- Create detailed system drawings and documentation using AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Visio
- Design and support Lutron and Crestron lighting and shading systems
- Develop control system designs using Control4 platforms
- Design and document residential networking and IT infrastructure
- Review architectural drawings and construction documents
- Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and presentations as needed
- Support project teams through installation, commissioning, and project closeout
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience designing luxury residential AV and smart home systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Visio
- Hands-on experience with Lutron and Crestron lighting and shading
- Working knowledge of Control4 control systems
- Strong understanding of networking and IT design principles
- Professional communication skills and customer-facing experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications (Lutron, Crestron, Control4, AVIXA, Cisco, etc.)
- Experience working with architects, builders, and interior designers
- Background in high-end or custom residential environments
