Primary Purpose:
Provide leadership and technical expertise in the integration, management, and implementation of end-user computing devices, applications, and systems.
Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall missionand strategic plan of Tomball ISD.
Qualifications:
Education/Licenses/Certification:
Associate degree or higher in an Information Technology related field or equivalent experience.
Relevant Information Technology certification preferred.
Special Knowledge and Skills:
Effective verbal, written communication, interpersonal, and telephone etiquette skills
Ability to provide supervisory leadership to a team of technical professionals.
Ability to provide technical leadership.
Expert knowledge of implementing and managing end-user computing technologies.
Expert knowledge of managing and supporting enterprise applications.
Ability to set priorities and handle multiple complex assignments.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing integrating and implementing end-user computing devices, applications, and systems, preferably in an education environment.
Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting enterprise class network systems and applications.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Lead in the planning, assignment, training. and supervision of the Technology Technical Service team including Computer Technicians and Helpdesk Technicians.
2. Collaborate to identify, implement, and maintain end-user computing technologies that support student learning and district operations.
3. Prepare and oversee the development of documentation for processes and procedures.
4. Assist in the planning and development of end-user computing life-cycle strategies.
5. Provide training to Technology and district staff in the proper use of the district’s end-users computing systems.
6. Work cooperatively with district staff and external vendors to implement and troubleshoot systems and services district wide.
7. Assist in the design, development, implementation, and support of technology systems district-wide.
8. Provide regular updates and status reports to the appropriate supervisor.
9. Complete a written record of every service call.
10. Contribute to an accurate inventory of all Technology systems and services in use district wide.
11. Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Technology
