Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Press Brake Operator for our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in metal fabrication and press break operations, a strong understanding of fabrication processes, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation
- Set up and operate CNC and manual press brake machines to bend sheet metal and plate materials according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and bend data to determine correct tooling, machine setup, and bend sequence.
- Inspect parts during production using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, protractors, angle gauges) to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
- Perform basic maintenance on the press brake and tooling, keeping equipment in proper working order.
- Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines and tooling to keep equipment in optimal working condition.
Quality & Documentation
- Verify that all parts meet dimensional and visual quality standards before moving to the next production stage.
- Accurately record production data, materials used, and any nonconformances in accordance with company procedures.
- Promptly report defective materials, incorrect drawings, or machine issues to the supervisor.
Safety & Housekeeping
- Adhere to OSHA and company safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times.

Teamwork & Communication
- Work collaboratively with fabrication, engineering, and production teams to meet schedules and production goals.
- Communicate effectively with engineers, supervisors, and other machine operators regarding setup changes, process issues, or improvement ideas.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and overall productivity.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and metalworking processes.
- PPE required (safety glasses, steel-toe boots, gloves, hearing protection, etc.).
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum 1–4 years of experience operating press brake machines in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, bend allowances, and fabrication drawings.
- Skilled in setting up and adjusting CNC Shear controls (e.g., Amada, Accurpress, or similar).
- Proficient with measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, and protractors.)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs or more and stand for extended periods.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Amada, Trumpf, or Accurpress CNC press brakes.
- Strong understanding of sheet metal layout, cutting, and forming techniques.
- Experience using CNC plasma, laser cutting, or other fabrication machinery.
