This position is for our new location in Tribeca - 310 Greenwich Street NYC

We are seeking a talented and passionate Lead Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management, with a flair for creativity and a commitment to excellence in fine dining. As a lead line cook, you will play a crucial role in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and leading a team of culinary professionals. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and development, focusing on seasonal ingredients and innovative dishes.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation.
  • Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, food handling, and compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Oversee food production processes to maintain quality and consistency across all dishes served.
  • Collaborate with the catering team for special events and banquets, ensuring timely service and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimize waste while maximizing efficiency.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and professional growth among staff members.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a lead line cook or in a similar role within the food industry.
  • Strong culinary skills with experience in fine dining establishments preferred.
  • Background in banquet service or catering is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management and shift supervision.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
  • Proficiency in menu planning, food production techniques, and kitchen management practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
