Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components.
- Service vehicles with oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, and brake repairs to maintain optimal vehicle performance.
- Repair and maintain diesel engines, heavy equipment mechanics tasks, and auto body repairs as needed.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to complete repairs with precision.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical systems and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications while providing excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly to clients.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong background in dealership settings preferred.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, schematics reading, and mechanical systems repair including transmissions and powertrain components.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, air brake systems, wheel alignments, suspension repair (including shocks & struts), and tire service.
- Familiarity with diesel engine repair and heavy equipment mechanics is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and auto estimating software.
- Mechanical knowledge of automotive electrical systems and auto body repair techniques.
- Valid certification or license in automotive technology or related field is preferred; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current with industry advancements.
