The User Desktop Support Specialist provides Tier II and Tier III end-user support for Headquarters Air Education and Training Command Financial Management (HQ AETC/FM) personnel at JBSA-Randolph. This role supports daily mission operations by ensuring desktop systems, peripherals, applications, and user access services remain reliable, secure, and fully operational.The position is responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting Common Access Card (CAC) access, managing software and hardware inventories, and providing printer, phone, and peripheral support. The specialist also performs Computer Security (COMPUSEC), Information Technology Equipment Custodian (ITEC), and Telephone Control Officer (TCO) duties in compliance with Department of Defense and Air Force policies.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide Tier II/III desktop, laptop, and peripheral support to HQ AETC/FM personnel
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues
- Support CAC access, account provisioning, and user authentication services
- Manage software installs, updates, licensing, and inventory tracking
- Provide printer, scanner, and office phone (VOIP) support
- Perform COMPUSEC, ITEC, and TCO duties in accordance with Air Force policies
- Coordinate issue resolution with base communications and cybersecurity teams as needed
- Document support actions, configurations, and inventory records
- Ensure end-user systems remain secure, compliant, and operational during duty hours
