The Senior Software Developer (5 years experience) supports Air Education and Training Command (AETC) training and financial management systems, including the Financial Management Tool Suite (AFMTS) and related mission applications. This role is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining software solutions that support training, scheduling, and logistics functions in a secure Department of Defense environment at JBSA-Randolph.The developer works closely with functional users, program management, and technical teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure applications. This position ensures all software development and maintenance activities comply with Air Force cybersecurity standards and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements while supporting systems used across CONUS and OCONUS locations.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain software applications supporting AETC training and
- Support AFMTS and related systems through new development, sustainment, and
- Write, test, and integrate code using Microsoft-based technologies and approved
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance issues, and logical errors
- Participate in requirements analysis, design reviews, and peer code reviews
- Support application deployments, updates, and post-release sustainment activities
- Ensure compliance with RMF, STIGs, and applicable Air Force and DoD cybersecurity policies
- Document code changes, designs, and system updates in accordance with contract
- Collaborate with database, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams to support mission
