Data Enablement & Governance Manager
Location: Salt Lake City / Lehi, UT or Atlanta, GA
Schedule: Hybrid onsite (3 days per week)
Compensation: Competitive base salary bonus
Overview
This is a rare opportunity to get in early and build something that truly matters, the right way, from day one! We’re partnering with a growing organization that is making a significant investment in modernizing its enterprise data ecosystem. This role will be the first dedicated data governance hire, with a mandate to establish how data is defined, governed, and trusted across the enterprise.
You’ll join at the outset of a high-visibility, multi‑million‑dollar transformation initiative, working closely with senior leaders and external partners to lay the foundation for scalable, compliant, and data‑driven decision‑making.
Required Experience:
- 7 years of experience in data governance, data quality, or enterprise data management
- Proven experience building or scaling data governance programs from scratch
- Hands‑on experience with data cataloging, metadata management, and data lineage
- Familiarity with governance tools such as Collibra, Alation, Informatica, or similar platforms
- Experience defining and implementing data quality frameworks and KPIs
- Strong ability to partner across both business and technical stakeholders
- Experience working in healthcare environments
What You’ll Do
- Stand up and lead foundational data governance capabilities across the enterprise
- Design and implement a business data glossary and enterprise data catalog strategy
- Evaluate, recommend, and support the selection of data catalog and governance tools
- Define and enforce data quality rules, standards, and governance workflows
- Establish governance frameworks, policies, and stewardship models
- Partner cross‑functionally with business and technical teams to drive adoption and accountability
- Support and influence data literacy efforts across the organization
- Collaborate with third‑party consulting partners on broader data modernization initiatives
- Track, communicate, and report governance progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership
