Job Summary:
1. Position Summary
Manages the purchase and sourcing of assigned components and services from suppliers at the lowest total cost, while maintaining quality, reliability, and urgency requirements. Ensures uninterrupted supply of component parts to support manufacturing operations.
Conducts market and material studies, leads sourcing projects for assigned categories, and supports broader purchasing initiatives. Follows established procurement policies and procedures to optimize overall value for company.
2. Key Responsibilities
- Support the Director of Purchasing by analyzing business requirements, cost drivers, supplier capabilities, and industry trends to develop effective sourcing strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure long-term value.
- Identify and qualify new raw material sources and manage approval processes.
- Troubleshoot supply chain constraints related to inbound raw materials.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to meet shared objectives and bridge gaps between teams.
- Allocate and utilize resources efficiently, especially when resources are limited.
- Analyze complex data to identify trends and insights that support sourcing strategies.
- Apply strategic sourcing tools and methodologies.
- Use financial metrics (TCO, EBITDA, ROI, payment terms, cost savings) to drive decision-making.
- Lead negotiations independently to achieve business objectives.
- Develop and manage project plans to ensure timely and successful completion.
- Promote high levels of customer satisfaction by supporting internal project needs.
- Recommend and implement process improvements within purchasing functions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
3. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain roles.
- Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies, purchasing functions, and commodity tracking.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably within a cGMP setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization.
- Strong collaboration and influencing skills in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.
- Proven ability to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- In-depth knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
Shift:
- 1st Shift: 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday

Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
