Purchasing Agent

We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our team on a contract basis in Hunt Valley, Maryland. In this role, you will handle various purchasing tasks, including processing and placing purchase orders efficiently. The ideal candidate has strong data entry skills, technical proficiency, and a keen eye for accuracy to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities:
• Process purchase orders accurately and efficiently within the designated system.
• Enter data into the purchasing system and ensure all information is correct before submission.
• Communicate with vendors to place orders and confirm details.
• Maintain organized records of purchase orders and vendor correspondence.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely procurement of materials.
• Verify order details and resolve discrepancies when necessary.
• Utilize tools like Microsoft Excel to track and analyze purchasing data.
• Provide updates on order status and address any issues that arise.
• Support the purchasing department with administrative tasks as needed.
• Proven experience in purchasing or related roles.
• Familiarity with purchasing systems, preferably Yardi.
• Proficient in data entry with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on precision in all tasks.
• Previous experience working with vendors is a plus.
