Thompson First Group is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Supervisor to support pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. This individual will play a key role in overseeing daily production activities, ensuring compliance with cGMP standards, and driving efficiency, quality, and safety across the production floor.
Position Overview
The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing production activities, supervising personnel, and ensuring all operations are performed in compliance with GMP standards. This role oversees staffing, production efficiency, quality, and coordination across multiple departments to meet operational goals.
1. Job Responsibilities
- Manage production activities in accordance with GMP standards.
- Schedule employees based on production needs.
- Supervise all personnel assigned to the shift or area.
- Evaluate staffing needs and adjust accordingly.
- Drive improvements in productivity while reducing labor inefficiencies.
- Anticipate and resolve production issues proactively.
- Improve procedures and eliminate waste through continuous improvement efforts.
- Review and recommend changes to run rates and material usage.
Operational Support
- Support Line Leads as needed, including:
- Preparing and executing MBRs
- Performing QC sampling
- Initiating label requests and material requisitions
- Completing work order confirmations and pallet ticketing
- Overseeing line clearance, changeovers, and inventory counts
Training & Compliance
- Supervise and coordinate employee training; maintain accurate records.
- Execute and review engineering, validation, and qualification runs.
- Submit and manage change controls (SOPs, MBRs, work instructions).
- Maintain all required documentation for work centers and facility operations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Quality to ensure product compliance and GMP adherence.
- Assist with CAPA and NCR investigations.
- Partner with Engineering/Maintenance on process improvements.
- Coordinate with Production Planning and Project Management for scheduling.
- Collaborate with Inventory Management to ensure proper material flow.
Leadership & Administration
- Conduct employee evaluations and annual reviews.
- Report safety incidents to EHS, Operations, and HR.
- Document and manage employee relations and disciplinary actions.
- Support production needs, including overtime when required.
- Cross-train across departments as needed.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager on all responsibilities.

5. Education & Experience
- High school diploma required
- Supervisory training or coursework preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a cGMP environment preferred
Shift:
- 2nd Shift: 5:30 pm to 4 am, Monday through Thursday
