Job Summary:

Uses AutoCAD software to produce complete and accurate design drawings, with oversight from senior designers. Provides support to designers in the process of control panel design, P&IDs, mechanical installation, electrical loop drawings, panel risers, and project as-built documents as well as other drafting/design tasks. Takes direction and seeks guidance from senior designers.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree in drafting, or other pertinent curriculum combined with relevant technical experience.
  • Typically, 2-5 years of experience.
  • Proven Track Record: 2 years as Control Systems CAD Operator or equivalent.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit proficiency in the use of Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) tools.
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop control system drawing packages under the direction of senior designers.
  • Develop basic understanding of Information Technology (IT) system, network infrastructure, and computer system design, as it relates to control system integration.
  • Detect problems in a timely manner.
  • Explore outside sources for potential solutions to problems.
  • Use logic, intuition and experience to find appropriate solutions to problems.
  • Demonstrate the ability to proof-read self-generated documentation.
  • Expert with internal tools and able to troubleshoot issues.
  • Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft operating systems and Office tools.

Customer Service:

  • Communicate in an effective, positive, and proactive manner with customers, when required.
  • Complete assigned tasks accurately, on schedule, and under budget.
  • Understand the scope of work assigned to you, identify when issues arise that are beyond that scope, and communicate those issues to the assigned project lead.

Travel required:

  • This is a full-time onsite role in the East Windsor, NJ location.
  • Travel is expected as required, up to 0-5%.

Work Authorization/Other Requirements:

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the country where the position is located is required.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Fit for Duty at all times
