Control System Project Engineer I - SCADA Design / Mission Critical
Location: Remote (U.S.) with travel up to 50% to Beaver Dam, WI or as needed.

Job Summary
The Control System Project Engineer delivers remote BMS/SCADA design for hyperscale datacenter programs. Working within a distributed engineering team, you will develop standards-based SCADA graphics, alarming strategies, historian/reporting functions, and reusable content across Schneider and Rockwell platforms supporting both white space and central plant systems. You will collaborate with PLC engineers, networking teams, commissioning teams, and GC/MEP partners to meet performance, resiliency (N 1/2N), and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
Education & Experience
- B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or related (or equivalent technical experience)
- 5 years in controls/SCADA/BMS engineering
- Experience implementing Schneider and/or Rockwell SCADA systems with distributed/enterprise architectures
- Experience comparable to Control Systems Project Engineer I/II
Responsibilities
SCADA Design & Implementation
- Configure and develop SCADA systems on:
- Schneider: AVEVA System Platform (InTouch OMI), Plant SCADA (Citect), EcoStruxure SCADA
- Rockwell: FactoryTalk View SE/ME, Historian SE, Alarms & Events, Linx, AssetCentre
- Create and maintain reusable standards: graphics, navigation, UDTs/tag models, alarms, and faceplates
- Integrate communications:
- BACnet/IP, Modbus TCP, OPC UA, MQTT/Sparkplug B, SNMP
- Contribute to SQL models for trending, analytics, and reporting
- Apply security and IT/OT practices: VLANs, role-based access, certificates, server hardening, virtualization
- Produce documentation (URS/FRS/DDS), FAT/SAT scripts, and turnover packages
- Provide remote support for Levels 13 and assist commissioning teams during Level 4/5/IST as needed
Project Delivery & Customer Interaction
- Complete assigned scopes accurately, on schedule, and within budget
- Coordinate technical interfaces with PLC, EPMS, networking, and commissioning teams
- Identify scope changes and risks early; support change-order documentation
- Communicate professionally and follow customer and program standards
Team & Mentorship
- May review deliverables or support training of junior engineers when requested
Required Skills & Experience
- Proficiency with Schneider SCADA platforms and/or Rockwell FactoryTalk suite
- Solid understanding of P&IDs, I/O lists, device interactions, and sequences of operation
- Practical scripting ability: SQL, VBA, Cicode, ArchestrA, or JS
- Familiarity with networking/security fundamentals (VLANs, firewalls, certificates)
- Strong documentation and quality discipline
Nice to Have
- AVEVA/Schneider or Rockwell certifications
- ISA-88 / ISA-95 familiarity
- GAMP/CSV exposure
- BACnet experience
- KPI/analytics dashboard development for plant/data hall systems

- Valid drivers license and ability to maintain fit-for-duty requirements
- Proof of U.S. work authorization required
