The Opportunity
Were seeking a Lead Control Systems Technician to support onsite operations across three Omaha-area facilities. This role is client-facing and hands-onideal for someone who enjoys fieldwork, troubleshooting, and being the go-to resource for control system installations, maintenance, and repairs.
Youll work closely with project leads, engineers, and service teams to deliver reliable, high-quality technical support. This is a great opportunity for technicians who want to deepen their PLC/HMI skills while growing within a rapidly expanding organization.
What Youll Do
- Assist and be self-sufficient in project installation, start-up and commissioning of control systems.
- Perform instrument loop checks and calibrations.
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of control systems.
- Wire instruments and control panels (high or low voltage).
- Demonstrate basic understanding of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) applications.
- Proficient with startup and troubleshooting of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) applications.
- Proficient with startup and troubleshooting of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) applications.
- Read and interpret piping & instrumentation diagrams and wiring diagrams.
- Implement control system designs.
- Demonstrate basic understanding of electrical and mechanical system design.
- Demonstrate basic understanding of Information Technology (IT) system, network infrastructure, and computer system design, as it relates to control system integration.
What You Bring
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Computer Information Systems Technology, or related field (or relevant experience)
- 25 years of experience as a Control Systems Technician or equivalent
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, and field instrumentation
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and wiring diagrams
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and comfort in field environments
- Solid communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Ability to work independently and take personal responsibility
- Valid drivers license and authorization to work in the U.S.
- Fit for Duty at all times
Travel required:
- Will split time between 3 different sites within a 30-minute radius of Omaha, NE. Future travel for training or projects may be required as needed.
