POSITION SUMMARY
Assists with transportation operations for Independent Living Lifestyles programming. Responsible for driving residents to various trip locations on a 14-passenger large vehicle. No CDL required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are representative of this position and are not intended to be an all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor to meet the needs of the community.
Safely transport Independent Living residents to scheduled evening, weekend, and occasional weekday outings and community events using Woodlands community vehicles.
Provide exceptional customer service by assisting residents with entering and exiting the vehicle, securing mobility devices as needed, and ensuring a safe, comfortable transportation experience.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness of assigned vehicles, and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
Maintain accurate transportation logs, mileage records, and other required documentation as necessary.
Communicate effectively with residents and Lifestyles staff regarding transportation schedules, changes, delays, or special accommodations.
Serve as a positive ambassador of the community by interacting with residents, guests, and staff in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
Assist the Independent Living Lifestyles Department with special events, large community functions, holiday celebrations, and resident programs as assigned.
Support event operations by assisting with room setup and breakdown, serving food and beverages, bartending (if appropriately trained), greeting residents and guests, and providing general event support.
Assist with transporting event supplies, decorations, and equipment as needed.
Protect the privacy and confidentiality of resident information in all verbal and written communications.
Follow all community safety policies, transportation regulations, and emergency procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Lifestyles Director or supervisor.
POSITION SCHEDULE
This is a part-time position, generally working 10–20 hours per week. The schedule primarily includes evenings, weekends, and occasional weekdays based on resident transportation needs and special events. Flexibility is required to support community functions and resident activities throughout the year.

Educational Requirements and Experience:
High School diploma/GED
Must be 18 years of age
Previous experience working with seniors preferred
Must have an acceptable driving record based on Woodlands driving requirements and policy.
