Position Title: Portfolio Trading Specialist
Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid: 3 days in-office / 2 days remote; team-coordinated schedule)
Compensation: $65,000–$85,000 base $2,000–$5,000 annual incentive (paid semi-annually)
About the Opportunity
We’re hiring a Portfolio Trading Specialist on behalf of our client—a growing, fee-only wealth management firm based in Minneapolis. This role sits within the portfolio management team and is ideal for someone who is passionate about trading and wants to build a long-term career in trading/portfolio operations.
What You’ll Do
• Execute trades and support portfolio implementation activities across client accounts
• Work within rebalancing workflows and trading systems to ensure accurate, timely execution
• Collaborate closely with portfolio management and operations teams on trade-related processes
• Help maintain trading documentation, workflows, and execution standards
• Identify opportunities to improve trading efficiency, accuracy, and consistency
What They’re Looking For
• 4-year degree required
• Prior trading experience required
• Experience with rebalancing tools strongly preferred (Tamarac experience is ideal)
• Strong attention to detail; comfort working in fast-moving trading environments
• Clear communicator and collaborative team partner
• Prefer candidates who want to stay in trading/portfolio management (not using the seat as a stepping stone to advising)
