Finance Manager/CPA
Position Title: Finance Manager (CPA Required)
Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid: 3 days in-office / 2 days remote; team-coordinated schedule)
Compensation: $100,000–$140,000 base $5,000–$15,000 bonus (paid semi-annually)
About the Opportunity
We’re hiring a Finance Manager on behalf of our client—a growing, fee-only wealth management firm based in Minneapolis. This is a newly created role consolidating key internal finance responsibilities that have historically been spread across partners and a non-equity leader. The Finance Manager will own internal accounting/finance operations and provide seasonal support to the firm’s tax team during peak filing months.
What You’ll Do
• Own day-to-day internal finance operations, including oversight of core accounting processes
• Manage and streamline AP/AR workflows and internal financial reporting needs
• Partner with leadership on finance-related planning, process improvements, and documentation
• Support tax-season work (Feb–Apr) by assisting with tax preparation support for a limited set of strategic clients
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and leadership to ensure finance workflows are accurate and scalable
What They’re Looking For
• CPA required
• 5 years of relevant accounting/finance experience
• Strong preference for candidates with:
• Individual tax experience, and
• Small business bookkeeping/accounting exposure (not necessarily “big corporate”)
• Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning multiple workflows
• Interested in moving away from traditional public accounting intensity while still leveraging tax expertise seasonally
