Lead Advisor — Wealth Management Firm - Kansas City, MO

About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Advisor, the Lead Advisor provides wealth management strategy for firm clients and drives business growth for the firm at large. This individual works directly with clients to construct financial plans and investment strategies that simplify the complexities of multigenerational wealth. The Lead Advisor is also accountable for contributing to firm growth through new prospective client relationships and the ongoing leadership and development of Wealth Management Strategists (WMS).
Responsibilities & Expectations
Client Relationships (60%)
- Coordinate, track, and follow through on client communications, maintaining a historical log via appropriate technology
- Lead client meetings, with support from WMS before, during, and after
- Construct financial plans using firm planning tools, with WMS assistance
Business Support (20%)
- Actively engage in Investment Policy Committee market updates to inform client conversations
- Lead and manage recurring client projects/committees (pricing, process, etc.)
Business Growth (20%)
- Meet with prospective clients as they schedule with the firm
- Efficiently price and close qualified prospects
- Develop WMS knowledge, talent, and confidence to become future Lead Advisors
- Nurture existing client referrals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- CFP designation
- 5 years of experience in a WMS-equivalent role, or comparable industry experience as a Lead Advisor
- Experience with Salesforce CRM, Office 365, e-Money, and Orion (or comparable platforms)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly illustrate complex financial concepts and strategies
- Ability to organize, delegate, and implement/monitor strategy as the lead across a designated subset of clients
- Ability to lead, educate, and collaborate closely with other advisors, WMS staff, and operations staff
