What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative - In-Person position at The Vermont Country Store?
We’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic individuals who love Vermont as much as we do and believe in the value of our practical, hard-to-find products. As a Customer Service Representative, you’ll help customers discover exactly what they need—and maybe even something they didn’t know they wanted—from our catalog and online store.

No experience? No problem—every Customer Service Representative receives on-the-job training.
Location: 15 West Street, Rutland, VT
Current Customer Service Hours of Operation:
Monday – Saturday: 8:00am – 8:00pm
Sunday: 10:00am – 6:30pm
A Sampling of What You’ll Do
- Answer customer phone calls to assist with placing orders from our catalog or online store
- Answer customer questions about products and orders
- Become knowledgeable about products offered by The Vermont Country Store
- Build relationships and engage customers during phone calls
Who We’re Looking For
- Must be a Vermont resident
- Must have an internet speed of at least 40mbps for remote work
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Dependable, enthusiastic, and flexible team player
- Ability to learn new computer applications
- Ability to use a laptop, keyboard and mouse
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
