We are looking for a Contingent Copywriter who has a keen imagination and a strong curiosity to learn about new products, customers, and our business with the creativity to apply these learnings to their work. They have a knack for crafting stories that connect brands and products with customers, inspiring them to click, shop, and buy.
This position offers part-time hours and a flexible, hybrid-remote work schedule with occasional in-person meetings at our office in Manchester, Vermont.
What You Bring to the Team
· Strong proofreading and copyediting skills (including spelling, grammar, and punctuation) and attention to detail that results in exceptional accuracy.
· Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
· The ability to communicate effectively, exhibit sound judgment, and interact professionally with coworkers and leadership.
· A preference for working independently with an openness to collaborate with team members across various departments.
· An openness to constructive feedback and the ability to incorporate it into your work.
· Experience using Mac-based applications, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
What You’ll Do
- Write SEO-compliant and benefit-driven product copy descriptions for our website and print catalog.
- Optimize copy for performance, readability, and discoverability across channels, incorporating SEO best practices.
- Attend seasonal product turnovers.
- Fact check product information to ensure accuracy.
- Proofread and edit catalog and web copy.
- Update web and catalog copy as needed
