Job Description
Perform a variety of clerical duties to prepare and maintain surgery patient schedules within an assigned cluster for elective, urgent and emergent surgery postings for clinic patients and physicians.

Job Description
Perform a variety of clerical duties to prepare and maintain surgery patient schedules within an assigned cluster for elective, urgent and emergent surgery postings for clinic patients and physicians.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have 2 years of surgical scheduling experience and at least 12 mos. experience must be as a surgery scheduler in a surgeon’s office. (This includes intake, independent decision making, etc.).
- Must have 12 mos. experience with data entry and verification, appointment scheduling, documentation and be proficient with medical procedure abstracting.
- Must have experience using the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) system.
- Must have current within the last 2-4 years insurance experience either working in a position such as this or with a medical billing office, insurance company, or like position.
- Must have knowledge of payor regulatory requirements for pre-authorization/pre-certification.
- Must have experience with insurance referrals.
- Must be proficient in medical transcription.
