Job Summary
The Admissions Welcome Center Coordinator will manage and coordinate the daily operations of the admissions welcome center. This position provides prospective students and parents with individual, and/or group tour experiences, and assessment of assigned initiatives. This position will be responsible for hiring, supervising, and training the Patriot Ambassadors (PA’s). Travel, strong communication skills, and some extended hours/weekend work is required of the position.
Major Responsibilities/Duties/Critical Tasks
- Developing, implementing, and continually assessing the strengths and opportunities for the visit program and on-campus events.
- Develop a comprehensive strategic vision for increasing student visitor volume.
- Create and maintain a script for Patriot Ambassador tour guides and implement a follow-up thank you process.
- Encourage a healthy and productive working relationship between the welcome center staff, enrollment services division and other college offices.
- Coordinates daily campus visits with prospective students between admissions, Patriot Ambassador tour guides, advising, athletics, and student life to provide a positive campus visit experience.
- Provide comprehensive training and implementation for tour experience.
- Ability to travel to various campus locations to build/maintain partnerships, attend gatherings, events, and activities related to the responsibilities of the position.
- Availability to work nights and weekends as needed.
- Provide daily, weekly, monthly and yearly reporting and assessments.
- Follow-up with visitors and daily/weekly/monthly/yearly reporting and assessment.
- Coordinate leadership and oversee all functions of the admissions welcome center.
- Ensure that prospective students and visitors to campus have a positive experience.
- Coordinate all daily tours and oversee 24 student workers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree.
- One (1) year of experience in an admissions office and experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Valid Texas driver's license.
- May accept a combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education/Experience
- Master's degree and experience managing student workers.
- Previous experience in the recruitment of students, including making presentations.
- Experience in PeopleSoft, Perceptive Content, and Slate (CRM).
- Two (2) years' experience in an admissions office.
Accompanying Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies
Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook). Ability to work well with stakeholders across enrollment management to ensure quick and accurate data entry. Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Strong organizational skills. Demonstrated computer literacy and use of PC's and word processing packages.

Additional Information
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
