Department of Modern Languages and Literatures
The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures in the College of Liberal and Fine Arts at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) consists of 30 tenure/tenure track and fixed-term-track faculty members and offers undergraduate degrees in Modern Languages, Spanish, and Linguistics, as well as graduate degrees in Spanish and Linguistics. Our faculty and students have been recognized regionally, nationally, and internationally for excellence in both research and teaching.
Salary Range: $45,050 annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications

UT San Antonio seeks a Fixed-Term Track (non-tenure) Assistant Professor of Practice to teach Korean courses which focus on language fundamentals, language immersion, and practice of speaking in formal settings.

Required Qualifications
- Applicants must have an M.A. or higher degree with a focus in language instruction.
- Able to teach elementary and intermediate Korean courses.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
- Have language proficiency in Japanese and/or any other Asian languages.
- Ability to contribute in other ways to UT San Antonio’s Asia Pacific Studies programs.
