We are seeking a hands-on and strategic Controller to oversee the company’s accounting operations and lead the day-to-day financial functions. This role will serve as a key partner to the CFO, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and efficient processes, while allowing the CFO to focus on high-level strategy and growth initiatives.

Controller
We are seeking a hands-on and strategic Controller to oversee the company’s accounting operations and lead the day-to-day financial functions. This role will serve as a key partner to the CFO, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and efficient processes, while allowing the CFO to focus on high-level strategy and growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and month-end close
- Manage and develop the accounting team, providing leadership, mentorship, and performance oversight
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Maintain and enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risk
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, improving timelines and accuracy
- Partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives
- Prepare and review account reconciliations, variance analysis, and supporting schedules
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third-party partners
- Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements to increase efficiency
- Support cash flow management, reporting, and working capital optimization
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
- 7–12 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with financial reporting
- Proven ability to manage and develop a team in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working closely with executive leadership, ideally supporting a CFO
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (ERP experience preferred)
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize
