This is a full-time on-site role for a Controller, located in Plainview, NY. The Controller will oversee financial planning, reporting, and analysis, including the preparation of monthly financial statements. They will implement and maintain internal controls, oversee the accounting team, and ensure regulatory compliance. Other responsibilities include managing budgets, forecasting, and handling tax preparation while working closely with leadership to support the company's financial health and strategic objectives.
- Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax compliance, and regulatory standards
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor an accounting team
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems
- Detail-oriented and exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- CPA certification (preferred but not required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus
- Experience in construction or infrastructure projects is a valuable asset
