1987 PC Specialist (Desktop Support)
Position Summary:
Provides hands-on support for end-user computing equipment and related systems. Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop hardware, peripherals, and software applications to ensure reliable performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain desktop and laptop systems, along with peripherals such as displays, input devices, and printing/scanning equipment
- Install, configure, and validate common business software, including operating systems and productivity tools
- Assist with network connectivity setup and troubleshoot access-related issues
- Perform user account setup, profile configuration, and transfer of user data and applications between systems
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to hardware, operating systems, and software; escalate complex problems when needed
- Perform basic repairs and coordinate with specialized teams for advanced technical support
Experience Required:
- 5 years of experience in desktop or end-user support
Technical Environment:
- Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems
- Microsoft 365 applications and services
- Endpoint configuration and deployment tools (e.g., SCCM or similar)
- Directory services such as Active Directory
- Endpoint security platforms (e.g., Trellix or equivalent)
- Network printing protocols (including LPR/LPD)
