Sugar House Hotel is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to join our opening team in Winooski, Vermont. This role will help launch the cleanliness, room readiness, and presentation standards that define the guest experience in an upscale hotel. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-focused, and strong at building routines, accountability, and a positive team culture.
What you’ll do
- Recruit, train, schedule, and lead housekeeping team members
- Establish room cleaning, public area, inspection, and opening-day procedures
- Ensure guestrooms and public spaces consistently meet cleanliness and presentation standards
- Coordinate room readiness with front office and maintenance teams
- Manage linen, uniform, and operating supply inventories
- Support productivity, safety, chemical handling, and guest request response
What we’re looking for
Required
- 3 years of housekeeping leadership experience in a hotel environment
- Strong inspection skills, attention to detail, and team organization
- Experience with labor scheduling, room assignments, and quality control
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
Preferred
- Pre-opening hotel experience
- Experience in boutique, lifestyle, Marriott, or upscale full-service environments
- Experience leading public space and room attendant teams together
