Sugar House Hotel is seeking a Food and Beverage Manager to join our opening team in Winooski, Vermont. This role will help launch a polished, guest-focused food and beverage experience and build service standards that match an upscale lifestyle hotel environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, highly visible on the floor, and passionate about coaching teams and creating memorable guest experiences.
What you’ll do
- Lead daily front-of-house food and beverage operations across outlets and events
- Recruit, train, schedule, and develop service team members
- Establish opening procedures, service standards, and guest recovery expectations
- Partner with culinary leadership on service flow, menu execution, and event coordination
- Manage labor, operating supplies, beverage controls, and departmental productivity
- Maintain high standards for cleanliness, safety, compliance, and hospitality
What we’re looking for
Required
- 3 years of food and beverage leadership experience in a hotel, restaurant, resort, or hospitality venue
- Strong service leadership, staffing, coaching, and floor management skills
- Experience with bar operations and banquet or event service
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
Preferred
- Pre-opening experience
- Experience in boutique, lifestyle, Marriott, or upscale full-service environments
- Knowledge of wine, beer, spirits, and point-of-sale systems
