Sugar House Hotel is seeking a Front Office Manager to join our opening team in Winooski, Vermont. This role will lead front desk and guest arrival operations and help create a welcoming, efficient, highly personalized guest experience from day one. The successful candidate will be calm under pressure, guest-centered, and strong at building procedures, accountability, and team confidence in a pre-opening environment.
What you’ll do
- Lead front desk, guest services, and lobby experience operations
- Recruit, train, schedule, and coach front office team members
- Build opening procedures for check-in, check-out, cash handling, communication, and service recovery
- Coordinate closely with housekeeping and engineering on room status and guest requests
- Support guest satisfaction, upselling, and overall front office performance
- Help create a polished, professional, hospitality-first culture
What we’re looking for
Required
- 3 years of hotel front office leadership experience
- Experience with hotel PMS and room management systems
- Strong guest service, problem-solving, and service recovery skills
- Ability to lead in a fast-moving environment and work a flexible schedule
Preferred
- Pre-opening hotel experience
- Experience in boutique, lifestyle, Marriott, or upscale full-service environments
- Experience overseeing night audit or reservations coordination
