Registered Nurse – Critical Care / Step-Down Unit The Staff Pad | Wausau, WI | Multiple Shifts Available
The Staff Pad is partnering with a leading healthcare system to hireRegistered Nursesfor a high-acuityCritical Care / Step-Down Unit.
This unit cares for a complex patient population including cardiothoracic, post-surgical, and telemetry patients—offering exposure to ICU-level skills in a structured, team-driven environment.
What You’ll Do:
Provide care for patients requiring higher acuity monitoring (drips, chest tubes, central lines)
Collaborate with a strong interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced setting
Manage frequent admissions, discharges, and transfers
Deliver patient-centered care with a focus on safety and outcomes
What We’re Looking For:
RN license (WI or compact eligible)
BLS required, ACLS preferred
Open tonew grads and experienced nurses
Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
