Dietary Aide

About the Role

The Staff Pad has partnered with Unity Medical Center to hire a Dietary Aide. This role supports the Dietary Services team by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring patients and staff receive high-quality food service in a safe and sanitary environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of hot and cold food items as directed
  
• Follow menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines
  
• Deliver and retrieve food carts and patient trays
  
• Serve meals in the cafeteria as needed
  
• Stock and organize kitchen and food service supplies
  
• Monitor food temperatures and ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards
  
• Clean and maintain kitchen areas, including dish room, equipment, and storage spaces
  
• Dispose of waste and maintain overall cleanliness of dietary areas
  
• Work under limited supervision while following written and verbal instructions
  
• Promote a positive and professional environment with patients, staff, and visitors
  
• Comply with all organizational policies and safety regulations
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  
• At least 1 year of food service experience preferred
  
• Basic math skills and ability to follow recipes
  
• Strong communication and customer service skills
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
