Key Responsibilities – Bartender | The Inn & Club at Harbour Town
- Deliver Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star service standards in every guest interaction, demonstrating polished language, refined etiquette, and anticipatory hospitality.
- Prepare and serve craft cocktails, wine, beer, and specialty beverages with accuracy, consistency, and attention to presentation.
- Maintain expert knowledge of spirits, wine varietals, beer selections, and seasonal offerings to confidently guide guest recommendations.
- Create personalized guest experiences through engaging conversation, eye contact, and warm, professional demeanor.
- Ensure bar area is impeccably clean, organized, and presentation-ready at all times, consistent with luxury hospitality standards.
- Monitor alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service in compliance with South Carolina alcohol laws and resort policies.
- Accurately process transactions and maintain accountability for cash handling and POS procedures.
- Collaborate with culinary and service teams to ensure seamless food and beverage delivery.
- Manage inventory levels, assist with ordering and stocking, and minimize waste through proper product handling.
- Proactively resolve guest concerns with professionalism and urgency, elevating issues when appropriate.
- Support special events, private functions, and high-profile guests with discretion and elevated service execution.
- Uphold The Sea Pines Resort brand standards and contribute to maintaining our Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star distinction.
- Minimum 2 years of bartending experience in a luxury or upscale hospitality environment.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a team while maintaining hands-on service responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation and presentation.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and guest service skills.
- Experience with or strong understanding of luxury service standards.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol certification preferred, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
