Technical Marketing Program Manager
The Sage Groups’ Client is seeking a Technical Marketing Program Manager to drive execution of large-scale data and platform programs within the Marketing Operations & Engineering team. This role requires a solid understanding of the data lifecycle, data platforms, and ETL/ELT ecosystems, along with the ability to deliver programs that drive measurable business impact.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for program execution and coordination, including planning, scheduling, and prioritization of deliverables
- Track progress, manage risks/issues, and provide regular status reporting
- Understand upstream and downstream data dependencies and ensure alignment across teams
- Partner with Marketing Analysts, Product, Engineering, Architecture, and QA to support delivery goals
- Connect program breakthroughs to business outcomes and track progress against defined metrics
- Identify risks early and work with teams to mitigate or resolve issues
- Remove blockers and ensure smooth program execution
- Support cross-functional communication and coordination to maintain alignment
- Contribute to building and improving program management processes
- Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams
- Have an AI-first mindset when building out processes across the team
- Have top-notch communications skills to take engineering terms into an executive-level status update for projects, newsletters, and QBRs
What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5 to 7 years of program management experience in cloud or data platform environments
- Familiarity with data concepts such as modeling, governance, quality, and lineage
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum or similar)
- Proficiency with tools like Jira and Confluence, plus Microsoft Office (Sharepoint)
- Ability to define and track success metrics
- Working knowledge of AI tools and data analysis for insights
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Hard-working & self driven with a bias for action and ability to navigate ambiguity
Duration: 6 months to start with highly likely extension
Hybrid: In San Jose office 2 days a week – Tuesdays and Thursdays
Pay: $80. W/2 hourly
