One of the Sage Group’s clients is looking for a Sr Web Designer with 5-10 years experience, that is active with agentically workflows and would enjoy a production heavy fast paced role. Client is on a mission to democratize software. Their platform is beloved by people at more than 200,000 organizations because they can create applications that perfectly fit their needs.
The Brand Creative team at client tackles everything from web experiences, feature launches, campaigns, customer storytelling, sales enablement, and event experiences. As a group of multi-disciplinary creatives, and a part of the broader client design organization, each team member brings their unique experience and perspective to the table. We're looking for an experienced Senior Web Designer to join our humble, talented, and deeply thoughtful crew. The kind of person we think of as a Brand Engineer: a designer who can build what they design, moves fluidly between design craft and technical execution, and already treats AI tools like a collaborator they know how to direct.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and user research to shape easy-to-use, performant, and compelling web experiences, supporting partners across marketing and product
- Understand the technical, creative, and temporal constraints of a project, making pragmatic tradeoffs with stakeholders
- Contribute to and maintain our interactive design system used across our digital properties
- Participate in the full project lifecycle from ideation, to handoff, to launch, performance testing, coding, deployment
- Work agentically: using AI tools, automation, and code to move faster and do more with less
- Collaborate with stakeholders via regular reviews and working sessions
Who you are
- You have 5-7 years of experience as a web designer at either an agency or in-house environment, for complex B2B brands, Codex a plus, Git for deployment
- You're fluent in AI-assisted design workflows and are already using tools like Figma AI, Claude Code, and MCP to accelerate your practice -- and you think seriously about how AI is reshaping the craft
- You have a stellar portfolio with examples of web work showcasing high quality digital experiences
- You design in code and are comfortable deploying what you build
- You think of yourself as a Brand Engineer: as comfortable in a terminal or a Figma file as you are presenting to stakeholders
- You have experience working across the full project lifecycle -- from proposing and designing to partnering with engineers and researchers to get things shipped
- You can conceptualize original website design ideas that bring simplicity and efficiency to complex problems
- You display a sensitivity for user-system interaction and are up-to-date with industry-standard web technologies
- You have experience working with and contributing to design systems
- You are proactive, clear, and thoughtful in your communication with team members and stakeholders
Location: Hybrid to San Francisco CA
Duration: 3-6 months to start, with extension and contract to hire potential
Compensation: $80-100hr
Portfolio required: showing extensive web landing and home pages
