An elite, premier luxury resort property in Northeast Ohio is seeking a dynamic, hands-on culinary leader to take full ownership of its high-volume banquet operations. Boasting multiple upscale event venues—including a grand ballroom hosting up to 300 guests, an elegant pavilion for 200, extensive breakout spaces, and stunning outdoor ceremony sites—this property regularly coordinates simultaneous events catering to up to 1,000 guests combined.
With the peak summer season underway, we are looking for a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering flawless, high-end guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Take full ownership of day-to-day banquet kitchen operations, coordinating all culinary activities across multiple resort venues.
- Team Management: Manage, mentor, and develop a dedicated banquet kitchen staff of approximately 5 employees.
- Execution & Presentation: Ensure exceptional execution of high-volume events with strict attention to timing, precise plating, creative displays, and overall guest satisfaction.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner closely with sales and catering teams to seamlessly align kitchen execution with client expectations.
- Quality Control: Maintain rigorous operational standards, consistency, and superior food quality across all corporate conferences, weddings, retreats, and social events.
- Menu Innovation: Contribute creatively to custom banquet menus while maintaining established resort guidelines and food cost efficiency.
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience in high-volume resort, hotel, or country club banquet operations.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple, simultaneous catering events without sacrificing quality.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset, comfortable interfacing with sales, catering, and front-of-house teams.
- Adaptability to shift seamlessly between elegant weddings, large corporate conferences, and intimate breakout sessions.
