Upscale Full-Service Restaurant | Columbus, OH
An established, high-volume restaurant with a loyal guest following is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead front-of-house operations and uphold a refined, high-touch dining experience.
This role requires a hands-on leader who is fully present on the floor, builds relationships with repeat guests, and drives service standards at a consistently high level. This is not a step-up role. Candidates must already have experience operating in upscale, full-service environments.
What You Will Own
- Lead front-of-house operations during service with full accountability for guest experience
- Build relationships with regular guests and create a consistent, high-touch dining environment
- Train, coach, and develop service staff to uphold polished service standards
- Partner with leadership and culinary teams to ensure seamless execution
- Manage labor, scheduling, and cost controls while maintaining service quality
- Handle guest feedback in real time and resolve issues with professionalism and urgency
Must-Have Experience
- Current or recent AGM, Senior Manager, or equivalent in an upscale, full-service restaurant
- Experience in high-volume environments with average check of $50
- Proven ability to lead service teams during peak operations
- Strong understanding of P&L, labor management, and cost control
- Stable work history with clear progression in hospitality leadership roles

- Background primarily in QSR, fast casual, or franchise-heavy environments
- Limited exposure to refined, high-touch service standards

- No ownership of guest experience or dining room leadership
