QTI Executive & Professional Search, Inc. is recruiting for an Executive Search and Recruiting Consultant due to an upcoming retirement. You will serve in a dual role: supporting and leading full lifecycle recruitment across professional, technical, management and executive-level searches, while also serving as a trusted advisor for board-led and senior leadership engagements. You will manage the search process from inception through hiring decisions, often working with multiple decision-makers such as non-profit Boards of Directors or Search Committees.
Success in this role depends on strong operational discipline, exceptional written and verbal communication, a confidential and caring approach to candidates and clients, and the ability to manage complex, multi-step search logistics with multiple stakeholders.

Executive Search Leadership
- Partner with Boards of Directors, Search Committees, and executive teams to understand organizational needs and guide the full executive search process.
- Facilitate strategic conversations, helping groups stay aligned, focused, and on track throughout the search.
- Develop organizational and opportunity profiles that reflect client culture, strategy, and leadership needs.
- Conduct organizational analyses or surveys, when requested, to validate expectations and inform the search direction.
- Lead research, sourcing, and candidate development to ensure a qualified and diverse pool of executive-level talent.
- Build trusted relationships with executive candidates and assess cultural, leadership, and technical fit using interviews, assessments, and work samples.
- Guide client interviews and participate when appropriate to support structure, consistency, and candidate experience.
- Partner with clients to evaluate and develop competitive and compelling offers, including compensation, benefit, and relocation considerations.
Professional & Technical Recruiting
- Manage full lifecycle recruitment for professional, technical, and management-level positions with limited supervision.
- Work directly with hiring leaders to develop proactive sourcing strategies and talent pipelines.
- Identify and attract candidates using traditional and creative sourcing methods.
- Screen, evaluate, and present qualified talent for client consideration.
- Develop written deliverables such as job descriptions, candidate summaries, and interview notes.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and candidates, ensuring strong relationships, transparency, and follow-through.
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation within QTI systems.
Business Development & Client Partnership
- Represent QTI in professional, civic, and community settings to build credibility, visibility, and new business opportunities through active networking.
- Support new client development by collaborating with sales and marketing teams, following up on leads, and educating clients on QTI services.
- Cultivate and maintain client and industry relationships to support ongoing and future searches.
- Identify opportunities to refer clients to other QTI business units.
- Contribute to team knowledge-sharing and collaboration across the Executive & Professional Search division.
- In-person presence required for select client engagements, search committee meetings, or candidate interviews, so occasional travel required.
Qualifications / Experience desired:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ professional recruitment experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing communications and expectations of multiple stakeholders, such as Boards of Directors or Search Committees, preferably in a professional or executive search capacity
- A track record of personal accountability, strong work ethic, integrity, and proven organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage client relationships, provide strong client consultative skills and work in a remote-team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to take initiative and build trusted relationships with clients and candidates.
- Strong professional writing skills, including the ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling client-facing materials such as search profiles, candidate summaries, interview guides, and strategic recommendations.
- Ability to navigate complex or sensitive conversations with diplomacy, clarity, and confidence.
- Ability to relate to individuals at all levels of an organization, from front line technician up through C-level executive often acting as the public face of an organization.
- Sales-focused self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills that include the ability to plan and coordinate work independently and balance multiple recruiting projects.
- Strong customer service, negotiation, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to balance multiple searches, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, Internet search techniques. Strong in the use of technology and tools such as CRMs, recruitment software platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, etc.
