Position Summary
The facility is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Electrophysiology (EP) Cardiologist to join its growing cardiovascular team in Dothan, Alabama.
This is a full-time position offering a mix of outpatient EP clinic, inpatient consults, device management, and EP procedures. Candidates must have completed an EP fellowship and have expertise in device implantation, EP studies, ablations, and arrhythmia management.

Essential Position Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive outpatient EP and cardiology consultations

Manage arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, SVT, VT, syncope, and conduction disorders

Interpret ECGs, Holters, event monitors, and device interrogations

Perform EP procedures, including:

Pacemaker and ICD implantation
-
EP studies
-
Ablations
-
Cardioversions
-

Support inpatient cardiology with consults, rounding, and device evaluations

Collaborate closely with interventional cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, heart failure teams, and hospitalists

Supervise and collaborate with APPs in clinic and hospital settings
-
Participate in multidisciplinary cardiac care meetings
-
Maintain accurate clinical documentation within the EHR

Support outreach and program expansion efforts as needed
Qualifications
Education
-
M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school
-
Completion of Internal Medicine residency, Cardiology fellowship, and Electrophysiology fellowship
Licensure & Certification
-
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease and Electrophysiology
-
Eligible for or holding an active Alabama medical license
-
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Experience
-
EP fellowship-trained cardiologists required

Open to new EP graduates

Experienced EP physicians highly encouraged to apply
