A well-established, not-for-profit healthcare system in the Seattle Metro Area is seeking a full-time Acute Care Surgical Hospitalist to join its expanding inpatient surgical services team. This is a collaborative, high-acuity hospital-based role supported by a robust multidisciplinary infrastructure and strong leadership.
The organization participates in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program.
Position Overview
• Provide inpatient acute care surgical coverage including emergency general surgery and trauma
• Manage surgical consults, admissions, and post-operative care
• Perform a broad range of urgent and emergent surgical procedures
• Collaborate closely with ED physicians, intensivists, and specialty services
• Dedicated OR block time and experienced surgical support staff
• EPIC EMR with comprehensive clinical and administrative support
• Structured shift-based schedule supporting work-life balance
This role is ideal for a surgeon who enjoys hospital-based acute care surgery within a team-oriented, well-supported environment.
Qualifications
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
• Fellowship training in Trauma, Critical Care, or Acute Care Surgery preferred (not required)
• Eligible for Washington State medical license
• Active or eligible DEA registration
• Commitment to high-quality, team-based surgical care
