POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for maintaining cleanliness, appearance and safety standards of facilities. 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cleaning & Sanitation: Sweep, mop, vacuum, buff floors; clean restrooms, kitchens, lobbies, windows, walls; disinfect high-touch surfaces.
• Groundskeeping: Maintain exterior areas like sidewalks, parking lots, fencing
• Safety & Security: Identify and report hazards, place safety signs (wet floor), and adhere to security protocols
• Complete minor repairs and building improvements

·         Uphold health and safety standards in accordance with restaurant policies and local regulations.

·         Manage waste disposal by emptying trash and recycling bins and ensuring compliance with health regulations.

·         Assist with “make ready” duty requests

·         Report on maintenance needs to Restaurant Manager

PREFERRED SKILLS:

·         Previous experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting is advantageous.

·         Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

·         Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

·         Basic understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation standards.

·         Physical ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.

·         Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.

·         Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

·         Positive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks.

·         Commitment to delivering high-quality support and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

A minimum of one year experience on a fast-paced environment. Able to work mornings, nights, and weekends. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to stand in one place for hours at a time. Ability to retain information quickly. Able to read, understand recipes. A valid California Health Card or Sani Serve certification. Good working relationship with peers and management.
