Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage and report any discrepancies or defects.
- Accurately document all incoming and outgoing shipments using inventory management software.
- Pick and pack outgoing orders according to production schedules and customer specifications.
- Prepare shipping labels and necessary documentation for outgoing freight.
- Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring safe and efficient handling of materials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with inventory reconciliation.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a warehouse or shipping/receiving environment
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and scanning equipment
- Basic computer proficiency (email, data entry)
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
- Experience with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
- Forklift certification
- Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles
- Familiarity with customs documentation and international shipping procedures
