Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM) to verify product dimensions and characteristics.
- Document inspection results, identify non-conformances, and initiate appropriate corrective action requests.
- Assist in the investigation of quality issues, root cause analysis, and the implementation of preventative measures.
- Maintain accurate and organized quality records, including inspection reports, test data, and material certifications.
- Support the calibration and maintenance of quality control equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Collaborate with production teams to promote quality awareness and ensure compliance with quality management systems.
- Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
- Strong computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel for data analysis).
- Demonstrated ability to perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of manufactured goods.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate record-keeping and documentation.
- ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or equivalent certification.
- Experience with CMM programming (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso).
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification.
- Internal auditor training or experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
