Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
- Conduct various tests on materials and products using calibrated inspection equipment and laboratory instruments.
- Document inspection and test results accurately, maintaining detailed quality records and logs.
- Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials and products, initiating non-conformance reports.
- Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and support corrective/preventive actions.
- Perform routine calibration and maintenance checks on inspection and test equipment.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or Associate's degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality assurance or inspection role.
- Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, specifications, and GD&T.
- Familiarity with quality control methodologies such as SPC and root cause analysis.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite for data entry and reporting.
- ASQ certification (e.g., CQT, CQI)
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification
- Experience with CMM programming or operation
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab)
- Knowledge of advanced problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, FMEA)
