Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods against specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs to verify product dimensions.
- Document inspection results accurately, maintain quality records, and generate inspection reports.
- Identify, quarantine, and manage non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective action requests as needed.
- Assist in the investigation of quality issues, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Support the calibration, maintenance, and verification of quality control inspection and test equipment.
- Adhere to and promote adherence to quality management system procedures, work instructions, and safety protocols.
- Proficient in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
- Experience with quality inspection processes (receiving, in-process, final).
- Understanding of basic statistical process control (SPC) and data collection.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformances.
- Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
- Internal auditing experience (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification or equivalent continuous improvement training.
- Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and application.
